A budget of 2800 crores has been set aside by the Assamese government for the programme, which is anticipated to help almost 17 lakh families in the region. A monthly financial aid of ₹830 would be provided to qualified families under the initiative, whose annual income is less than two lakhs, to cover their requirements.   • Only women between the ages of 16 and 59 are eligible for this programme.

  • Families with over fifteen bighas of land ownership.
  • Households whose members work for the government, are physicians, engineers, architects, lawyers, or pay income taxes.
  • Families with possessions like refrigerators, four-wheelers, or tractors are not qualified.

Orunodoi Scheme Implementation Structure

  • The government of Assam’s finance department will oversee the Assam Orunodoi initiative.
  • The scheme’s implementation will be overseen by the finance department’s secretary and commissioner.
  • The Assamese finance department will serve as the scheme’s state-level nodal agency.
  • The deputy commissioner will be in charge of the plan’s district-level execution.
  • The government will set up monitoring committees at the district level.
  • To help applicants, Orunodoi Sahayaks would be chosen in each district. Their fixed monthly salary will be Rs 15,000 each month.
  • Sahayaks will be hired for a two-month term.
  • The eligibility requirements for Orunodoi Sahayaks will be decided by the district-level monitoring committee.
  • The district-level monitoring committee, led by the Deputy Commissioner, will select the Orunodoi Sahayaks following a thorough examination of the applications.
